Linda Hillsman is married and has three children. She has been an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Fitness Trainer since 2002, specializing as a Senior Fitness Trainer through The American Academy of Health and Fitness since 2009. Traveling to Miami in 2003, she became licensed as a Zumba Instructor from the creator of Zumba, Beto Perez, bringing Latin-inspired music and fitness moves to the Chicagoland area. Since that time, her fitness accomplishments include: Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold, Aqua Zumba; Les Mills Body Pump; Group Fitness Certification through The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA); PILOXING; and her most recent accomplishment was becoming accredited as a Cancer Exercise Specialist.

Linda has been a breast cancer survivor since 2002. After her mastectomy, she was faced with the challenge of regaining range of motion to the affected side of her body. Hard work and determination helped Linda overcome her physical obstacles. She brings this passion for remaining healthy and fit to her personal training clients, as well as, to her class participants. Her love for God and prayers to Him, through Jesus Christ our Lord and the Blessed Virgin Mary, have given her the courage to share her story with other women.

Blanket of Hope Through Faith & Fitness was written to offer support to women suffering from breast cancer and to encourage them to reach out to God. Faith comes from knowing that you are not alone in this fight and that God will always be with you every step of your journey. Comfort comes from feeling the loving arms of Jesus wrapped around you like a blanket of hope.
